Happy Helloween
Hi guys, I was doing this work during the Halloween holiday! This scene demonstrates four Niagara systems : firefly, amber fire, candle fire, and falling leaves. Besides vfx, I also do some of model and materials to enrich the scene.
Candle Fire
I used Scale Color to shape the flame and make it taper upward like a real candle.
Light Render
Added a Light Render so the flame actually illuminates nearby pumpkins and candles, making the effect feel alive. To control the color, I used a Random Range Color between yellow and red to simulate the warm, flickering fire tone.
Amber Fire
This scene looks like a cool town with purple point light, and candle fire is the only warm tone in this scene.
I wanted something that looked more energetic and burning, like glowing embers rising through the air to enrich the scene. Therefore, Amber Fire is the best choice.
A custom material shaped like a cloud to give the particles a soft, organic shape.
Combined with upward velocity and noise forces, it creates a feeling of heat and energy.
Firefly
I used a Vortex Force to make each firefly move in gentle circular or spiral paths instead of straight lines.
This creates a natural floating motion, as if they're drifting through the air.
Each firefly uses a Light Renderer and Color over Life to softly glow and fade, giving it a magical, nighttime look.
